Medical Gas Maintenance Training

Evergreen Medical is pleased to offer a Medical Gas Maintenance Training to qualify your personnel in the new NFPA requirements for performing medical gas and vacuum systems maintenance and repairs.

Hospital specific equipment training is conducted at your facility by one of our credentialed ASSE Medical Gas Instructors or Verifiers.  On-site training is cost-effective as it does not require travel for your employees.  Training is typically quicker (3-6 hours) and focused specifically on your facility’s equipment.

COURSE COVERS:
  • NFPA and ASSE Maintenance Requirements and Recommendations
  • Medical gas equipment operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for:
    • Medical Air Compressors and Monitors
    • Medical Vacuum/WAGD Pumps
    • Oxygen Bulks
    • Medical Gas Manifolds
    • Valves
    • Outlets
    • Alarms
IS YOUR TEAM TRAINING UP TO DATE?

NFPA 99, 5.1.14.2.2.5 Qualifications:

  • Persons maintaining these systems shall be qualified to perform these operations
  • Appropriate qualification shall be demonstrated by any of the following:
  1. A documented training program acceptable to the health care facility by which such persons are employed or contracted to work with specific equipment as installed in that facility.
  2. Credentialing to the requirements of ASSE 6040, Professional Qualification Standard for Medical Gas Maintenance Personnel, and technically competent on the specific equipment as installed in that facility.
  3. Credentialing to the requirements of ASSE 6030, Professional Qualification Standard for Medical Gas Systems Verifiers, and technically competent on the specific equipment as installed in that facility.
